Mexico retakes collection of tariffs on imports

Mexico, Abr (Notimex). - Mexico resumed a safeguard to the imports of footwear, textile, and clothing when imposing a tariff of between 10 and 30 percent, which will be gradually applied.

Published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), the Secretariat of Economy explained that the measure is to prevent and combat the undervaluation in the import of goods in these sectors and the problems of efficient application of tariff fractions.

According to the case, the rates will come into effect the day after the publication of the measure in the DOF, 15 days later or until next October.
