Mexican economy to grow between 1.1 and 2.1 percent

Mexico, Apr (Notimex) .- The Mexican economy will grow between 1.1 and 2.1 percent in 2019, as well as between 1.4 and 2.4 percent in 2020, less than expected, announced the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP, for its acronym in Spanish).

The document "Pre-Criteria" of economic policy made to prepare the 2020 budget, explained that the lowest expectation is for the "low level of growth observed in the Mexican economy during the last quarter of 2018, which could be prolonged in the first quarter of 2019. "

The SHCP kept inflation estimates unchanged at 3.4 percent for this year and at 3.0 percent for 2020.

The average price of Mexican exported crude is estimated at 57 and 55 dollars per barrel for 2019 and 2020, respectively, an increase of two dollars per barrel compared to the price approved for 2019.
