Plan to rescue refineries

By Martha Cruz Sent

Tampico, Mar (Notimex) .- The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, announced that 160 billion pesos will be invested in the new Dos Bocas (Tabasco) refinery and an additional 25 billion pesos will be used to rehabilitate the six existing refineries for 40 years.

The government's plan is that in six years the six refineries will be rehabilitated so they can process crude oil, including heavy Mayan oil.

In two and a half years or three, the Dos Bocas refinery will be ready.

Mexico needs to produce gasoline because now they import 600 thousand barrels a day and refineries are producing very little capacity.
