Collection of Sor Juana will be registered at the UNESCO

Mexico, Feb (Notimex) .- Sor Juana's print collection belonging to the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana will be registered as Memory of the World of Mexico at the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture.

These are old prints by Sor Juana, and a select documentary bibliographic collection that covers the end of the 19th century to the present.

Although Sor Juana's old prints were published in Spain, the modern prints of this collection include anthologies, her works, and works that speak about her, which bear witness to his resurgence and the diversity, modernity, and permanence of her work as cultural and documentary heritage.

The main objectives of the Memory of the World Program are to facilitate the preservation of documentary heritage, and to create a greater awareness throughout the world of the existence and importance of this heritage.
