Young Mexican accepted at Harvard




 

Mexico, Feb (Notimex) .- Dafne Almazán, who at age 12 became the youngest psychologist in the world, now at 17 she will be the first Mexican minor to enter Harvard University.

 

At the prestigious American university, the genius will study a master's degree in mathematics with a thesis focused on how to teach mathematics to children with a high IQ.

 

"I wanted to focus on this area because I saw the problem that exists in Mexico, and because my goal is to improve education in Mexico in the aspect of mathematics, because they are always thought to be boring and difficult," she said.

 

The young girl received the 2016 Women's Tec Award, the 2016 National Psychology Award, and was considered one of the 50 most powerful women in the country by Forbes Mexico.
