Madrid, Feby (Notimex) .- The film "Roma", by the Mexican Alfonso Cuarón, won the Goya Award for Best Ibero-American Film.
The film, set in the 1970s to tell the story of a middle class family. Roma previously won a Golden Globe at the Venice Festival.
"Roma" became the third Mexican film winner of the Goya, after "Lo que importa es vivir" (What matters is to live) (Luis Alcoriza, 1987) and "El callejón delos milagros" (The alley of miracles) (Jorge Fons, 1996).
"Roma" is nominated for 10 Oscars of the United States industry.
