Continental AG to build production plant in Mexico




Dallas (Notimex) - German automotive manufacturing firm Continental AG has announced its plans to build a production plant in the state of Aguascalientes, Mexico. 

The new plant will create some 1,000 jobs and will focus on making parts of car interiors. 

Construction will begin in 2019 and production is scheduled to begin in 2021, said a Continental spokesperson. 

Hannover-based Continental is the fourth largest provider of parts for the automotive industry. The company's sales reached some $36 billion in 2017, according to Automotive News.
