Museums and archaeological sites prepare Day of the Dead activities
Mexico (Notimex) - Museums and archaeological sites across Mexico are preparing several cultura activities to celebrate the traditional Day of the Dead on November 1 and 2.
Day of the Dead was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2003.
The National Anthropology Museum set up a traditional altar with seasonal fruits, dishes, bread, candles and cempauschil flower arrangements.
On October 27 visitors will be able to attend a skull painting workshop.
On November 3, a conference called "Offerings with Copal and Yauhtli: Cult expression to water and maize" will be held at 10am.
On October 31, there will be an award ceremony for the best decorated skull.
