Bancomext gives $102-million credit to Sonora aerospace plant

Mexico (Notimex) – The National Foreign Trade Bank (Bancomext) has given a $102-million credit to the AT Engine Mexico aerospace plant.

The plant will generate 300 specialized jobs in the northern state of Sonora, as well as attract more investments to the aerospace sector’s supply chain.

The credit is part of a $297-million investment by AT Engine Mexico, a joint venture between Mexico’s Grupo Punto Alto and Germany’s Aerotech Peissenberg.

The new plant will make machinery for high-precision LEAP turbine components, as well as refurbish current turbines.
