Santiago (Notimex) - Mexico will grow 2.2 percent this year, higher than the Latin American average of 1.3 percent, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, Cepal, said.
For 2019, the Mexican economy is expected to grow 2.3 percent, while the rest of the region will grow 1.3 percent, Cepal added.
"The forecast for 2019 is set amid growing uncertainty and medium-term risk," the Commission said in a statement.
One of the biggest risks for the region is a growing deterioration of global finances.
Trade tensions are also a factor that could affect growht in 2019, Cepal added.
