Teotihuacán prepares first hot air balloon festival
Mexico (Notimex) – The archaeological site of Teotihuacán, to the north-east of Mexico City, will host on November 10 this year its first hot air balloon festival at the Reino Animal safari theme park.
The event will also include concerts and nature experiences.
“The aim of the event is to offer an enriching and innovative experience, that is what people want now,” said Reino Animal Teotihuacán director Ithiel Berrum.
Some 30 hot air balloons will fly simultaneously over the site during the morning. After flying in the balloons, guests will visit the safari park which is home to more than 130 species.
When the sun goes down, there will be a concert and a special light show on the balloons.
Berrum said that the visitor forecast for the festival is about 15,000 people.
