Mexico (Notimex) - Mexico's economy grew 2.7 percent in the second quarter of the year, compared with the same period in 2017, the country's statistics agency Inegi said.
Growth was boosted mainly by a 3.4 percent surge in trade and services; 1.4 percent growth in the manufacturing sector and 1.8 percent growth in agriculture.
The figure beats the 1.8 percent growth in the second quarter of 2017, and the 1.3 percent growth from the first quarter this year, but still below the 2.9 percent forecast by analysts.
