Mexican artist exhibition boosts visitors to New York’s Met Museum
New York (Notimex) – The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York announced that it received a record number of visitors in the fiscal year 2018, highlighting the exhibition of Mexican artist Cristobal de Villalpando as one of the main contributors to growth.
Cristobal de Villalpando was a baroque painter from Mexico’s Viceroyalty of Spain period.
The Met received more than 7.5 million visitors in the fiscal year 2018, which ended on June 30.
The Villalpando exhibition was visited by 256,399 people, the Met said.
