Mexico (Notimex) - Sales of hybrid and electric vehicles in Mexico grew 34.6 percent in October last year, compared with the same period from the year before, according to data from the Mexican Automotive Industry Association.
During October, 967 hybrid cars and 18 electric cars were sold, the data showed.
From January to October 2017, more than 8,000 electric and hybrid cars were sold in the country, up almost 33 percent compared with the same period from 2016.
The highest number of these vehicles were sold in Mexico City and its surrounding area.
