Mexico (Notimex) - The physics, geosciences and IT sectors are showing growth in Mexico, said Enrique Cabrero, director of the country's council of science and technology, Conacyt.
Projects in consumer goods, industrial processes, chemistry and metallurgy were given the highest number of patents last year, Cabrero said.
He added that some 13,000 scientific papers were published, and the U.S., Germany and Spain were the countries that collaborated the most with Mexico in those fields.
Mexico has 15.8 million sicence and technology graduates, of which 50.3 percent are women, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development said.
