Ford Mexico breaks Guinness record

Mexico (Notimex) -- The Mexican unit of U.S. carmaker Ford broke a Guinness World Record for the largest number of Mustang cars driven simultaneously.

On Sunday, December 4, 960 Mustang owners drove 3.2 kilometers at the Centro Dinámico Pegaso in the city of Toluca.

"We are excited to have broken a Guinness World Record. I'd like to thank all the clubs and those who joined us, they are the true heroes of this achievement," said Ford Mexico CEO Gabriel López.

Ford presented the new Mustang 2018 during the event.
