Star-studded concert pays tribute to earthquake victims
Mexico City (Notimex) – More than 120,000 people gathered at Mexico City’s central square, known as the Zocalo, for a free concert starring some of Latin America’s biggest names in music to pay tribute to the victims of the September 19 earthquake.
In between sets, an indigenous boy from the state of Oaxaca, one of the most affected by the quake, sang the Mexican National Anthem with members of the military and rescue brigades.
Some of the artists who performed include: Pepe Aguilar, Manuel Mijares, Emmanuel, Los Angeles Azules, Miguel Bosé, Enrique Bunbury and Timbiriche.
