South Korea to send $1 million in aid for Mexico

Seoul (Notimex) -- South Korea will send $1 million in aid for the victims of Mexico's September 19 earthquake, the Asian country's Foreign Ministry said.

"We are confident this will help Mexico, which has suffered consecutive natural disasters," a report by news agency Yonhap said.

Before the September 19 earthquake, Mexico was hit by a magnitude 8.2 quake on September 7, as well as being affected by hurricane Katia.

South Korean President Moon Jae-en (above, left) expressed his condolences for Mexico during his speech at the 72nd UN General Assembly.
