Victoria & Albert Museum to show collection of original Frida Kahlo clothes
London (Notimex) -- London's Victoria & Albert Museum will exhibit a collection of original clothes owned by Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) next year.
"Frida Kahlo is one of the most iconic and renowned artists of the past century," said museum director Tristam Hunt.
The collection includes accessories, medicines, jewelery and letters by Kahlo.
The objects were discovered in 2004 in a room in the 'Blue House' where Frida Kahlo lived with her husband Diego Rivera in Mexico City.
The museum exhibit will explore Kahlo's artistic development, which combined traditional Mexican elements with her European heritage.
Some iconic paintings by Kahlo will be included in the exhibit such as: My dress hangs there and Self portrait with a red and gold dress.
