Mexico (Notimex) -- Mexico receives 40 percent of MICE tourists (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) in Latin America, according to a study by IPK International.
Some 6.1 million people travel to Latin America under the MICE category, of which Mexico receives 2.7 million, said IPK International Business Development director for the region, Alberto García.
In the study, Mexico is followed by the Caribbean region, Brazil, Central America and Argentina.
"The sector has a lot of potential for growth, and without a doubt we will continue to grow due to our infrastructure," said Roberto Ibarra, coordinator of the Mexican Meetings Tourism Council.
