Mexico (Notimex) -- Oil major Chevron has announced the opening of its first service station in Mexico.
The station is in the city of Hermosillo, in the northern state of Sonora.
The move was made through a deal with Redco, a local service station operator with an ample network of stations.
Chevron aims to expand to the states of Sinaloa and Baja California.
The stations will offer Chevron gasoline with Techron, which cuts down potential damage to engine's' performance.
Chevron announced earlier this year that it will enter the Mexican refined products market.
