Aeromexico adds third Bogotá-Mexico flight to meet demand
Bogotá (Notimex) – Mexican flagship carrier Aeromexico will add from July 1 a third daily flight to its Mexico City-Bogotá route, the airline’s Corporate Sales director, Jorge Goytortua, said.
Colombia "represents an important economic potential for Latin America," he said, adding that the country ranked as the fourth international market with a share of 2.8 percent and the first in Latin America.
In recent years, the number of Colombian visitors to Mexico has grown significantly. In 2016, almost 400,000 Colombian tourists visited Mexico, and 163,000 thousand tourists from Mexico travelled to Colombia.
"This increase in frequencies from the Colombian capital represents an effort by the Mexican flag carrier to create air bridges that benefit the tourism and commercial sectors between both nations, which makes way for great opportunities for Colombia," said Goytortua.
