University of Puebla to launch first Mexican nanosatellite




Puebla (Notimex) -- The Mexican Space Agency and the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will launch into orbit the first nanosatellite made by Mexican students.

The announcement was made by the academic vice president of the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP), Eugenio Urrutia.

The satellite, called AzTechSat 1, will be the first functional Mexican satellite in orbit, Urrutia said.
