Mexico (Notimex) -- Heads of state, officials, business leaders and academics from around the world will gather this month in Cancun for the fifth edition of the United Nation's Global Platform.
The event aims to exchange experiences and advance with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, established in Japan in 2015.
The topics to be discussed in this edition will be national strategies for risk reduction integrated with climate change strategies; sustainable development plans and vulnerability reduction in countries with special situations.
The aim is to make the event a dynamic forum for decision makers, experts and executives to work on initiatives, create products, share kowledge, promote campaigns and show evidence of working on risk reduction.
