Aeromexico to increase frequencies to Europe in 2017

Madrid (Notimex).- Aeromexico announced that in 2017 it will increase frequencies of its routes to and from Madrid, Amsterdam and London, in addition to incorporating its latest Boeing 787-9 "Dreamliner" aircraft to those cities and Paris .

In a statement, Mexico’s flagship carrier said it will increase its Mexico City-Madrid route from nine weekly flights to 12 starting May

Aeromexico corporate director Jorge Goytortua said that "it is a great honor to announce a weekly frequency increase between both capitals, which is equivalent to a 40 percent increase in seats."

The route includes a Boeing 787-9 "Dreamliner" with a capacity for 274 passengers last December, 36 of them in the premier class.

"Thanks to the addition of our Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner we can provide an excellent product on board to our customers, traveling in both the premier and tourist class," said the corporate director.

The airline will add seven weekly flights both on its Mexico City-Amsterdam route from the second quarter of the year, and Mexico City-London from summer, in order to increase connectivity.

Goytortua added that this plan increases Aeromexico’s presence in Europe. The airline offers connections from Mexico City to 45 cities in Mexico and 15 in Latin America.
